Chicago Counsel for a Cause

The Chicago Counsel for a Cause campaign unites members of the legal community to champion the mission of the American Heart Association. Together, we are changing and saving lives in Chicago and beyond by advancing groundbreaking research, funding lifesaving initiatives and placing critical resources like blood pressure cuffs and CPR in Schools Training Kits directly where they are needed most.

Counsel for a Cause empowers the legal community to create meaningful impact, ensuring healthier, longer lives for everyone, everywhere.

It's not just about the resources we give, the dollars we raise or the fun we have. Our future is about improving yours.

The Need is Clear
Since the American Heart Association’s founding in 1924, deaths from cardiovascular diseases have been cut in half. And yet, there are still so many lives to be saved. Recently, death rates have worsened, and equity gaps have widened. Solutions are not getting to the people who need them the most. We are committed to change that.

2028 Impact Goal
Building on over 100 years of trusted leadership in cardiovascular and brain health, by 2028 the American Heart Association will drive breakthroughs and implement proven solutions in science, policy and care for healthier people and communities. The greatest discoveries in health must reach people where they are.
